Redstar Develops Dalong Manganese Industry Co., Ltd.

Guizhou Redstar Development Dalong Manganese Industry Co., Ltd. was established in March 2002 when the publicly listed company Redstar Development (600367) acquired several enterprises—such as the Dalong Chlor-alkali Magnesium Plant, which had previously gone bankrupt and shut down—from the defunct Guizhou Mercury Mining System through an open auction. Located within the Dalong Development Zone, a provincial-level economic development park in Guizhou Province, the company occupies a site of 580,000 square meters and currently employs over 1,000 people, most of whom are former workers from the Guizhou Mercury Mine who have been re-employed after losing their jobs.
